Kaduna Speaker Pays NECO Fees For 80 Students

Speaker, Kaduna State House of Assembly, Rt. Honourable Yusuf Ibrahim Zailani, has paid the National Examinations Council (NECO) fees for 80 secondary schools students from Government Day Secondary School Rigachikun.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity Honourable Ibrahim Dahiru Danfulani and made Available to the press on Saturday.

The statement said the gesture is aimed at reducing the burden of school fees on the less privileged parents and orphans of the affected students and improving the standard of education in the area and the state at large.

The Speaker who was represented by his PA, Al’ameen Muhammad Sameen, paid the sum of N1,880,000 million through the exams officer of the school.

Zailani appealed to the beneficiaries and other students to take their studies serious, in order to excel in their academic pursuit.

The speaker advised parents and guardians to see education as the only investment that they should give to their children

It would recalled that Zailani has paid West African Examination Council (WAEC) and National Examination Council (NECO) for thousands of students since his emergence as member representing Igabi west constituency from 2007 to date.

Thousands also benefitted from his tertiary education scholarship programme through his foundation, Zailani Absolute Care Foundation (ZACF).

Earlier, the exams officer, Mr Yusuf Adamu, lauded the Speaker for his efforts at improving the standards of education in the area.

He called on the political class and other stakeholders to join hands with the Speaker towards providing an enabling environment for teaching and learning.
