American-born singer, Tina Turner has died at the age of 83.
The singer, dancer, actress and music producer lost the battle for her life in her Zurich home, the capital of Switzerland after a prolonged illness.
The Octogenarian singer who with few other artists controlled the popular culture in the 70s and 80s with her powerful and sonorous voice was termed Queen of Rick and Roll.
In her quest for fame, the powerhouse singer went solo in the course of her career after being with various producers and labels.
She had a turbulent childhood growing up in the neighborhoods of American state of Tennesse before rising up against all odds to become a universal figure in music and entertainment industry.
The singer would be remembered for injecting life and energy on stage performance with loud lyrics that electrified her audience.
