The President Maryam Abacha Universities Niger and Nigeria (MAAUN) Group of Universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, has congratulated Dr. Musa Abdullahi Sufi, the Director General, Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo Foundation and a faculty member at MAAUN Niger and Nigeria on his 45th birthday.
Prof. Gwarzo in a congratulatory message he personally signed and issued to newsmen on Sunday, joined family, friends and associates in celebrating with Dr. Sufi on the occasion.
According to him, Dr. Sufi deserves to be celebrated at this auspetious occasion in view of his position as an innovative leader in education and development that includes mentoring youth and empowering women.
Prof. Gwarzo used the occasion to salute Dr. Sufi who is also the founder of Sufi Innovation and Development Solutions (SIDES) personality.
He further stated that, Dr. Sufi who is a medical and public health geographer is well known for supporting the government, organisations and individuals towards effective delivery of development services to the right target groups especially poor of the poorest and vulnerable.
“So, I wish to use this opportunity to congratulate you on your birthday. May the Almighty Allah grant you many more years with good health to enable you continue the good work you have been doing towards mentoring youth and empowering women.
Dr. Sufi is a development expert who works in Europe and several countries in Africa. As a media personality and freelance development journalist, he touches lives of many through various TV, radio, online and offline news outlets.
Sufi influence through social media is massive. He uses social media to promote unity and development as well as engage youth in imbibing the culture of effective and productive use of social media.
In addition, Sufi believes in the promotion of transparency, accountability and a simple life style.
Prof. Gwarzo prayed that God would grant Dr Sufi a longer life, good health and strength to enable him continue with the good works he has been doing.
