*Remanded at Agodi Correctional Centre till August 1

The 29 Yoruba Nation Agitators arrested in Ibadan for invading Oyo state Government Secretariat last Saturday were on Wednesday arraigned before an Oyo State Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Ibadan.
At their arraignment, the 29 Yoruba Nation Agitators were accused of seven-count charge bothering on treasonable felony, unlawful society, illegal possession of firearms, going armed and conduct likely to cause breach of peace.
The Investigative Police Prosecution Officer, Inspector Bello Rasaq, informed the court that the offences is contrary to and punishable under Section 516 of the Criminal Code, Cap 38, Vol.II, Laws of Oyo State of Nigeria, 2000.
Consequence on their arrangement, Chief Magistrate O Ogunkanmi ordered that the ,29 Yoruba Nation Agitators be remanded at the Correctional centre, Agodi in Ibadan
The Chief Magistrate adjourned the case to 1st of August 2024 for hearing.
