PLC Will Soon Start Awarding Degrees, PAN MD Says

The Peugeot Automobile of Nigeria (PAN) Learning Centre (PLC) will five years from now be a degree awarding institution.

The Managing Director/CEO of PAN, Ibrahim Boyi  expressed this optimism on Tuesday, when welcoming the Governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje who was at PLC to interact with 150 trainees sponsored by the state.
Boyi explained that the degrees are expected to be in auto mechanics and auto mechatronics.
He told Governor Ganduje that the current 150 trainees from Kano State, as well as others from other states both present  and past graduates are assured of becoming employed.
“We make sure anybody that that has left the training has a job to do either as an entrepreneur, or as a worker with one of our partners.
“Be rest assured that these graduates and the ones before them will always have jobs to do,” he assured.
The MD said that PAN in its quest at ensuring that the trainees of PLC are not just self employed, but also become employers of labour.
“The Shade Three Youth Empowerment Initiative (STYEI) provides a platform for the young graduates to practice. It is an extension of the training you sponsored your youth to.
” We have submitted proposal to you and  from there you will see that the whole idea is not just to make the trainees to be employed, but to also make them employers of labour,” he added.
He praised Governor Ganduje for fulfilling his promise of sponsoring more female trainees.
“We express our profound gratitude to the Kano State Government, led by His Excellency, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje for this second batch of 150 trainees, after the first batch of 62.
” We are even more grateful  as he kept to his promise by increasing the number of female trainees. We are pleased that he kept to his vision. You can see clearly that the vision of His Excellency is ensuring that youth in Kano State are empowered, ” he added.
