Plateau Police Opens New Divisional Headquarters In Wase To Fight Insurgency

Worried by the continuous escalation of crisis and the activities of insurgents in Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State, the state  Police Command has opened a new  Divisional Headquarters  in Bachar to  stem the increasing insecurity.

This is  to fight  against criminality within the nation and the appraisal by Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba

The state CP in his remarks said that the opening of the new Police Divisional Headquarters is in response to the incessant  crime and criminality within that part of the LGA.  

He added  that the community should give the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) and Police officers posted to the division, all the necessary support that they need and also give timely and useful information to the Police at all times. 

He assured them that the patrol vehicles that have been provided by members of the community will be put to proper use.

 The CP used the opportunity to assure the state that he will do everything within his power to ensure that all Police Stations and out posts that have been closed are reopened, as this will ensure proper security coverage around the state.

He further admonished members of the public to always bear it in mind that security is everybody’s business and that they should always be security conscious as they go about their lawful businesses.

Executive chairman of the local government area, Mr Adobe Uber reiterated the commitment of his administration in fighting the insurgency in the area.

According to him, the council will do everything necessary to encourage security operatives and vigilante groups, in order to restore normalcy in the area.

The  local government is one in Plateau State, where agricultural and mineral resources are abundantly available.
