The Standard bearer of the All Progressives Congress for Bassa/Jos North seat in the  House of Representatives, Ibrahim Baba Hassan has commenced engagement with relevant stakeholders, traditional rulers, community leaders, party stalwarts and serving councilors as well as local government appointees in Amo District of Pengana Chiefdom.

This according to the lawmaker, is a deliberate step to inform the people about his manifestos as well as using experience to change the representation of the constituency,  where youth and women, including the vulnerable members of the society, will be empowered and become better citizens.

Ibrahim Baba Hassan’s first port of call was the palace of  the District Head of Amo, Ugo Adams Machu Abaps, where he was received at the palace at Amo Mai katako  by the Amo Traditional Council.

He told the Amo Traditional Council that the visit to their district was to seek for prayers and royal blessings ahead of the 2023 general elections in the country.

The lawmaker who is also the member representing Jos North-North Constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly, explained that the people of Bassa/Jos North are backwards in terms of quality representation at the Green Chambers, which prompted him to offer himself for the job.

He implored his constituents to give him their mandate on trust as he has designed programmes and policies, geared towards building  bridges of friendship  and development built on a lobbying spirit to bring dividends of democracy to the people.

Ibrahim Baba Hassan  later interfaced with inhabitants of Amo Katako and Kasuru Ward, where he separately addressed them that he would use the experience gained from the State Assembly to give succour, irrespective of their diversity.

The story was not different in Kasuru Ward, where he pledged quality representation to the people.

Ibrahim Baba Hassan  also had an audience at Luxury Resort in  Jengre with Ashono  Namap, which is a coalition of Amo Women’s Association and assured that he would ensure women are given  opportunity to serve.

The Director General of Babsiya  Campaign Organization, Gondina Sambo said he has worked closely with Ibrahim Baba Hassan during the Seventh Assembly, promising the Amo people that he is the only candidate among others, whose manifesto has a direct bearing on the lives of people and humanity.

He appealed to the people to accept him as their son and work for his emergence to enable him replicate the good works he has done for his  constituents.

District Head of Amo, Ugo Adams Machu Abaps in company of his traditional council, welcomed the House of Representatives hopeful and his entourage to his domain, and urged him to continue his efforts  of serving humanity.

He stressed that the people of Amo Mai katako would forever remain grateful for the repairs of their transformer which according him the gesture was done as at the time he was not even seeking for any position while serving as member representing Jos North-North Constituency.

Councilor  representing Kadamo Ward, Yohana Para and his Kasuru Ward  counterpart, Christopher Isau, critical stakeholders, former councilors, women and youth representatives, party stalwarts who spoke separately, promised support, noting that Baba Hassan would see for himself at the ballot come February 2023.

Special prayers were held for Ibrahim Baba Hassan ahead of the elections.
