Oyo NSCDC Arrests 27-yr Old For Alleged Stealing

Oyo State command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC) on Wednesday paraded a 27 years old suspect over an alleged stealing.

Parading the suspect identified as Damilare Oyinloye at the Command State Headquarters old Nitel building, Agodi Ibadan, Oyo State NSCDC Commandant, CC Micheal Adaralewa said the suspect was arrested at the back of Taska Filling Station, Akala expressway  after he burgled into a building.

He stressed that the 27 years old suspect,  native of Okeho Oyo State has been terrorizing the area since 2019 and that he was first arrested in 2019 by security operative for murder.

Commandant Adaralewa stated that Damilare was arrested again at one building at the back of Taska filling stations after he burgled into the premises before he was apprehended by the people in that building and later confirmed that he has been to the premises before to robbed the occupants of the house of their valuables including Phones, jewelries and bag of money.

The suspect was said to have claimed that he escaped that day before he was later apprehended and handover to NSCDC for his recent theft and that it took the intervention of Operation burst in the area to arrested him from been lynched by the angry mob.

The arrested suspect was said to have attested to the crime and made a conventional statement that truly he had been to the house and has once murdered an innocent soul before because of phone.

Commandant Adaralewa while lauding the people of Oyo State for prompt information given to the Command in other to serve them better warned the citizens to desist from jungle justice as it hindered the Security work of getting more information from the suspect. 

The Oyo NSCDC Commandant  stressed further that the suspect will be charged to Court after the end of the investigation.
