The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Akwa Ibom State has said that it would run an issue based campaign in marketing its candidates for 2023 general elections.
Director General of the Umo Eno/Akon Eyakenyi Campaign Organization, Amb. Assam Assam SAN, stated this during his response after the inauguration of the campaign organization by the Leader of the PDP in the State, Governor Udom Emmanuel.
The DG of the gubernatorial campaign, promised that violence, thuggery and other political vices will be very distant from the PDP family.
The PDP Governorship Candidate, Pastor Umo Eno reiterated his resolve to build on the solid foundation of the current administration to realize his ARISE vision.
He intimated the audience that his greatest motivation in public service has always been the bequeathing of an egalitarian society to the youths and generations unborn.
In his remarks, Governor Udom Emmanuel commended the Campaign Organization for seeking to emulate him in running issue based campaigns, noting that power belongs to God, who gives to whomever HE pleases.
The governor who went spiritual, reading from different portions of the Bible, assured of victory for the group at the end of the endeavour.
He reiterated the need to commence every power quest with the Almighty, since the allocation of power is the exclusive preserve of God.
The campaign council, according to Barr. Emmanuel Enoidem is the largest in the history of PDP in Akwa Ibom state. The council has numerous political stakeholders and frontline politicians.
The event was held at the Campaign Secretariat located at Ewet Housing Estate, Uyo.
