Chairman of Road Transport Employers Association Of Nigeria  (RTEAN ), Kaduna State Chapter, Comrade Adamu Jalaluddeen has pledged to synergize with security agencies in the fight against banditry and other forms of insecurity.

He made the commitment on Wednesday at inauguration ceremony of elected officials of various chapels in the state.

Jalaluddeen stressed the need for collaboration with the association, considering the useful role he noted, road transport employers  could play in complementing the efforts of security operatives by way of passing information that can lead to checkmating activities of kidnappers and other criminal elements in the state and the country in general.

” We must admit the fact that most kidnap and banditry related activities usually take place on our highways and areas around them.

” It is therefore imperative to prevail on our employees (drivers) to be vigilant , patriotic and above all have the fear of God by ensuring that they’re not used as accessories to perpetrate crime against the state.

“We have keyed in to necessary security measures as recommended to us by govt and its agencies by putting in place compliance and implementation organs to ensure success of efforts against insecurity.

” In addition to these measures also ,  We have designated mounted vehicles with security men and equipment performing the function of surveillance and monitoring to ensure safer highways for Nigerian travelers.

” We will not relent in our efforts until the state and beyond could be said to be completely safe and peaceful for all,” he assured.
