The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Ondo State has convicted 10 persons out of over 60 suspects arrested for various offences in the last 100 days.
The state Commandant, Mr. Awili Pedro who disclosed this during the official opening of the Iju Ita ogbolu Divisional Headquarters ‘B’ Division in Akure North Local Government of the state at the week end.
The Building for the NSCDC Headquarters in Iju-Ita Ogbolu was donated to the Command by all the communities within the Council area.
His words, “Since my assumption of duty 100 days a go, the command has held four press briefings and paraded over 60 suspects for various crimes”.
He gave the offences to include vandalism, petroleum products adulteration and diversion, among others.
He however assured the people the his men will endeavour to reduce social vices beclouding the local government in recent time.
