The Ogun State Government has debunked the rumours going round on social media that some medical equipment donated to the State Hospital, Ota, have been carted away to other  hospitals within the state.
The equipment, according to the  government, were donated to the state and not the Ota Hospital alone.
The Commissioner for Health, Dr Tomi Coker who made the clarification in a phone interview with newsmen who were on an on-the-spot assessment visit to Ota, explained that some of the equipment were moved to other facilities in need of it, while that of Ota is intact and in  operation.
Dr Coker noted that there has been no time Ota and her people have been shortchanged in the State Government’s distribution of dividends of democracy, urging the people to disregard such information as Government plans to complement whatever comes from public-private partnership across all sectors.
The Coordinating Director, Planning, Research and Statistics, Dr Wellington Ogunsanya listed the donated equipment which include 80 Patient beds, mobile x-ray, anaesthetic machine, dialysis machine, amongst others.
The Chief Medical Director, State Hospital, Ota, Dr Taofeek Somade, while conducting newsmen around the facility showcasing  the donated equipment, said the information seen or heard on social media was not true, as their equipment are intact.
