A group, Obi-Datti Peoples Movement (ODPM) was one of the several support groups that added colour to the campaign flag oof of the Labour Party (LP) Presidential Candidate, His Excellency’, Peter Obi and his running mate, Senator Datti Baba-Ahmed.
The group led by its Director General, Kenneth Chukwu, a Nigerian based in Europe, stormed Kaduna with thousands of members from all over Nigeria and some from the diaspora, to support the Labour Party Presidential Candidate.
They arrived Kaduna days before the campaign flag off, boosting the economy of the state as several hotels especially in Sabon Tasha axis of the metropolis like, Top Galaxy, JV Benoble and others hosted their members.
In the Barnawa axis, Green Suites also hosted some on their members.
The DG represented by another Europe based, Abada W. Iwuchukwu, who is the Diaspora Coordinator, European Union, Obidatti People’s Movement, arrived on time via the Abuja airport for the kick-starting of their activities with a world press conference held at the Honourable Jonathan Asake, Kaduna State Gubernatorial Candidate of Labour Party’s campaign office located at Kaduna’s Central Business District.
Also present at the briefing, were, the group’s diaspora Treasurer, Faustina Ikedi, who also flew in from Europe.
Others that added colour to the briefing, were, Hon. Charles Obiora Anueyiagu (National Coordinator, Obidatti People’s Movement and
Amb. (Pst) Sunny N. StClement, Director of Communications, of the movement as well as Coordinators from other states of the federation.
At the venue of the campaign rally at Ahmadu Bello Stadium, the Obi-Datti Peace Movement was visible as their presence was well announced through flyers, posters, banners and music.
