*Remanded in Correctional facility

An Oyo State Magistrates’ Court sitting at Iyaganku in Ibadan has remanded a nursing mother in Abolongo Correctional facility, Oyo Town for allegedly stabbing her husband to death over dinner.
The nursing mother, Damilola Opeyemi according to Police Prosecutor, Inspector. Olalekan Adegbite on July 4, at about 8.30p.m caused the death of her husband.
Inspector Adegbite told the court the nursing mother allegedly stabbed her husband to death during a fight over noodles dinner.
“The couple who lived at Adogba Ajegede area, Ibadan, stabbed her husband, Oluwashina, 27, during a fight over noodles dinner”, he said.
Inspector Adegboye stressed that
the offence contravenes the provisions of Section 316 and punishable under Section 319 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State 2000.
Magistrate P. O Adetuyibi, did not take her plea and ordered that she be remanded pending legal advice from the Oyo State Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP).
She adjourned the matter until Sept. 27, for mention.
