NSCDC Ready To Support  Customs Service In curbing Smuggling – Oyo  Commandant

Oyo State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) CC Michael Adaralewa on Wednesday said  that the NSCDC is committed to supporting the Nigeria Customs Service to meet it’s statutory obligations to the nation by curbing smuggling. 
Commandant Adaralewa stated this while receiving the new Area Comptroller of the Customs Area Comptroller, Oyo/Osun Area Command Babajide.A. Jaiyeoba during a familiarization tour
He stressed that this is in line with the command’s Commitment to curb Crime, Maintain peace and order as well as protection of civil population in the state.
The Oyo state NSCDC commandant emphasized that the visit by the new Customs  Area Comptroller would strengthen the two sister agencies the opportunity to discuss areas of Common Concerns and promote unity among its officers.
Speaking, the new Customs Comptroller lauded the efforts of NSCDC Oyo State Command, saying, “anytime he sees all the uniform agencies in the country, all he believes is that we are One, be you Customs, NSCDC, Army or Police, we are all for federal government, we are all for Nigerians, we are all working for the same Course”.
Customs Zonal Comptroller Jaiyeoba then assured  the Commandant of absolute Cooperation with the NSCDC in Protection of lives and properties of the Civil Population in Oyo State.
