Oyo State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Corps Commandant Michael Akintayo Adaralewa has reiterated that NSCDC is committed to the welfare of its officers and men.
Commandant Adaralewa made this known on Monday while speaking at the commissioning of a modern borehole and Canteen provided by the Oyo State Cooperative Society of NSCDC to the Command as part of the Association’s Community Social Responsibility(CSR) to the Oyo State NSCDC Command .
He stressed that it is important to join hands together with the Federal government and the Corps in providing necessary welfarism to the officers and men of the Corps as a morale booster in other to nip crime in bud in Oyo State.
“If there is comfort at work and easy access to moderate welfarism of Officers and men of the Corps, that will bring good result to the Country in terms of Security,” he said .
The NSCDC Commandant then emphasized the need for other societies to emulate the Oyo State chapter in following the agenda of the Commandant General of the Corps on adequate welfarism for Corps members.
Commandant Adaralewa said staff welfare means anything done for the comfort and improvement of the staff apart from their salary. saying, ” creation of borehole and Cooperative Kitchen is part of the the efforts to make life worth living for officers and men of the Command.
Stressing that this ” will enable them to give the best of their service in ensuring that Oyo State is peaceful.”Commandant Adaralewa enjoined the Corporate organisation and good people of Oyo State to support NSCDC Oyo State Command through provision of necessary logistics support, timely and adequate information of happenings in their vicinity as security officers are not ghost to be able to know what happens in our neighbourhood.
Commandant Adaralewa stated that efforts of men of NSCDC Agro-Rangers, Counter Terrorism Unit, Anti-Vandal and the armed squad of the Oyo state NSCDC command with sister agencies have reduce crime rate across Oyo State.
