The Director General of National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC), Mr Lanre Gbajabiamila has hinted of the resolution of the issues generated over non payment of winnings by one of the betting companies, MSports .
Worried by the complaints over the non payment of winnings by MSports, the NLRC Director General last Wednesday summoned representatives of the company to a meeting as a way of resolving the complaints.
The DG at the meeting, stressed that there were have been a lot of complaints by stakers of betting on Msports with many complaining of not being paid their winnings, which went viral on Twitter.
According to Mr Gbajabiamila, he summoned the management of the betting company to the meeting in order to answer to allegations of non payment of winnings to stakers
Speaking after the meeting, the NLRC Director General said, “yhe Commission just ended a meeting with representative of MSports, Mrs. Fumilola Akingbelu, where all issues pertaining to non-payment of winnings were resolved.
Mr Gbajabiamila stressed that ” MSports will pay all winnings as soon as possible and unblock all blocked accounts within a short time”
The representative of the betting company, Mrs. Fumilola Akingbelu in her response said all issues pertaining to non-payment of winnings have been resolved during the meeting and that MSports will pay all winnings as soon as possible.
She disclosed further that MSports will unblock all blocked accounts within a short time.
New Nigerian reliably learnt that as at Friday, some of the punters have confirmed receiving their winnings shortly after the meeting.
