NDE Trains 42 Persons On CBTS In Zamfara

The National Directorate of Employment (NDE), through its vocational skills development department, has trained 42 participants on community based training scheme(CBTS) for them to be self-reliant in Zamfara State.

Declaring the orientation, induction course and life skills training open at Malam Yahaya Gusau Federal Secretariat on Wednesday, the director general of the NDE, Malam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo said that, the trainees were selected from all 14 local government areas in the state. 

The NDE Director General who was represented by the state coordinator of the agency, Hajiya Hamza Kolo Hadiza hinted that the trainees comprising male and female, will undergo training on different skills which include, knitting, fashion designer, GSM repairs, computer and makeup respectively.

According to her, the 42 participants undergoing the training will be each paid N5,000  monthly  within three months of their training period.

“The trainers will be paid N5,000 each for their services per trainee in each month, depending on the number of trainees attached to the trainer”. She reemphasized.

She also enjoined trainees to be steadfast in their training wherever they are posted and to remain committed to the training.

“There will be a routine monitoring and supervision by both staff from the state office and the headquarters to ensure quality training delivery,” she added.

Hajiya Hamza Kolo Hadiza cautioned that the Directorate under her watch, will not tolerate any act of indiscipline from any trainee, adding that where such case exists, she will not hesitate to take appropriate action, including withdrawal of a trainee from  the programme immediately.

In a goodwill message, the National Coordinator in charge of vocational skills development department of the NDE who was represented by Hajiya Lauratu Muhammad Abdullahi, charged the participants to be good ambassadors and pay attention to their training during the period.
