NCAT Wins 2016 ICAO Global Award

Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) Zaria has won the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Global Aviation Training 2016 award as a training institution with highest number of trained instructors.

In a press statement issued to newsmen in Zaria, the college’s Public Relations Officer, Alh. Abubakar Balarabe Muhammed said this recognition has put NCAT on a driving seat of the global efforts  in ensuring availability of well trained aviation professionals to effectively establish more efficiency and safety in the industry.

While receiving the award the Rector of the college Captain Abdulsalami Mohammed said NCAT would remain steadfast towards achieving full attainment of an ICAO regional training centre of excellence.

According to him, the allotment of more ICAO courses to the college implicitly entails more finances for procurement and acquisition of the needed facilities and expertise respectively.

Capt. Abdulsami also said meeting these needs are very fundamental to maintaining and propagating our national interest in ICAO.

He enjoined the instructional and administrative staff to be inspired by this award to offer greater contribution towards full realization of NCAT’s vision and mission statements.

The Rector said prudent and efficient management of fiscal allocations have become more necessary now than ever before in the college.

While maintain in met that the ICAO commendation and release of more courses to NCAT is simultaneously an honour and challenge to the college.

The award was received at the just concluded GAT and TRAINAAIR PLUS Symposium held at Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

During the occasion the Deputy Rector of the College Mr. B.D. Yahaya was elected as ICAO Trainer Plus steering committee member in recognition of total commitment of the college training activities in line with global standard.
