Oyo State Pilgrim Welfare Board (Muslim Wing) Chairman, Professor Sayed Malik has declared that the board is yet to know the dates the intending pilgrims from the state will depart for holy lands.

Professor Malik said this on Thursday, while addressing the intending pilgrims from Oyo State during medical screening and orientation exercises being conducted for them.

The Board Chairman while stating 

that the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) will commence the airlift of Nigerian pilgrims to holy lands in Saudi Arabia will start from the 21st of May 2023.

Professor Malik maintained, ” Oyo state State Pilgrim Welfare Board (Muslim Wing) “is yet to know the dates the intending pilgrims from the state will depart for holy lands’, 

Assuring  that Oyo State government and his board are fully prepared for the take off and would leave no stone unturned at ensuring that this year’s exercise is hitch free, Professor Malik said the hajj fees for intending pilgrims from Oyo State is N2.9 million, saying, the Hajj fees charged by Oyo State Pilgrim Welfare Board is the cheapest in the country.

He however, enjoined those yet to complete their payments to quickly do so to enable his board to process their travelling arrangements on time.
