Long Service Awards: NB Plc honours 84 staff

A total of 84 staff of the Nigerian Breweries (NB) Plc, Kaduna plant were at the weekend in Kaduna, honoured with the company’s Long Service Awards, at a lavish ceremony.
The 80 staff comprised of only eight management staff, while non-management staff made up the bulk with 76 recipients.
The staff were rewarded for putting in between 10 to 30 years of selfless service to the organization, totaling 1,280 years of service when added together.
For the non-management employees, 28 have put in 20 years, another 28 have also put in 15 years, 13 have served for 20 years, five have been with the company for 25 years and two have remained with the company for 30 years.
Only two employees from the management cadre were qualified for the 10-year award, one stood out for the 15 years service, while five others made it to the 20 years service.
Speaking at the ceremony, NB Plc Kaduna Brewery Manager,  Bolu Obawole said that the award ceremony was organized in furtherance of the company’s  policy on employees’ welfare.
“The Long Service Award celebration shows the appreciation for the individual and collective contributions of the recipients to the larger success for which the company is well defined with.
“As a testimony of this contribution, the company has continued to make giant strides as evidenced in our continuous leadership on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, the second most capitalized company for the umpteenth time,” he emphasized.
He informed that though challenges exist everywhere, the Nigerian Brewery has been able to surmount challenges by working as a team, charging the staff to always match their vision with a consistent mission statement and strategy.
