LOC For 17th National Council On Environment Meeting Inaugurated In Katsîna

 Eleven member Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the meeting of the National Council on Environment has been inaugurated by the Secretary to the Government of Katsina State, Barrister Abdullahi Garba Faskari.    Inaugurating the committee on behalf of Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, the Secretary to the Government of the State, Barrister Abdullahi Garba Faskari said that the 17th National Council meeting on the Environment was scheduled to take place between 11th and 16th December, 2023.    Director Press, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the State, Abdullahi Aliyu Yar’adua in a statement, said Barrister Abdullahi Faskari has disclosed that, the LOC is to liaise with the Main Organising Committee to determine the number of delegates and other participants coming to Katsina for the meeting.   The committee he said, is to also source and provide befitting accommodation and transport facilities for the delegates and participants of the meeting.    Other terms of reference of the committee includes:- provision of adequate publicity and security for the meeting.  The state Commissioner for Environment, Alhaji Musa Adamu Funtua and the Permanent Secretary, Political and Common Services, Governor’s office, Alhaji Abubakar Mamman Gege would be  Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Committee respectively.
     Other members are:- Permanent Secretaries from Ministries of Environment, Alhaji Muntari Kado, Agriculture and Livestock Development, Alhaji Muhammad Rabi’u Muhammad, Health (Tertiary Institution), Hajia Safiya Ya’u Yamel and Works, Housing and Transport, Mannir Talba.    The rest are:- Permanent Secretary Cabinet and Security, SGS office, Alhaji Salisu Abdu, Executive Director, SEPA, Alhaji Kabir Amoga, Director Protocol, Alhaji Isa Duwan, DAS, office the Head of Civil Service of the State, Alhaji Lawal Abdullahi and Nura Ibrahim from the SGS office would served as the secretary of the Committee.
