Kaduna LG Polls: APC Will Sweep All 23 LGAs – Uba Sani

As the local government elections in Kaduna State draw nearer, the Special Adviser on Political Matters to the governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Uba Sani has said that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is fully prepared to win all the 23 local government areas anytime, any day if the election was conducted.

Dr. Uba Sani called on the party faithful to be very optimistic as the local government election is fast approaching, saying that the indices for the electorates to have no option other than to vote APC in the forthcoming election will be based on the developmental strides of Governor Nasir el-Rufai.

“In the history of Kaduna State there was never a time a governor has performed the way the present administration of el-Rufai has done in the last two years.

“If you live in the state, in the past, you will see that even the states that were created after Kaduna State have left Kaduna State behind, because there was no development in the state, a lot of infrastructure were been abandoned”, he said.

Uba who made this assertion shortly after the Zonal Stakeholders Meeting during an interview session with journalists at the party secretariat said:

“In the area of providing dividends of democracy, the party is generally happy with the governor in his approach to governance, especially on infrastructural development, health care improvement, educational development, creation of job opportunities for the teeming youth, among others.

“At the last economic summit in Kaduna State speakers after speakers have commended the giant strides of the governor, because all these achievements are visible.

He further explained that governor el-Rufai is running a very open system in Kaduna State where the executive arm of government has continued to maintaining a good cordial working relationship with other arm of government  even with the party at all levels.

Speaking on women affirmative, Uba said that Kaduna State is the only state in the north that has women representation in the government, saying that in the history of Kaduna State under the leadership of El- Rufai woman is the Head of Service, Commissioner for Justice among others.

The Kaduna State Chairman of APC, Sha’aiu Idris said that the party in its wisdom held the Zonal Stakeholders Meeting to maintain the tempo of unity among the party members.

“From our discussion today, it was frank, we are really happy with the meeting so far, because every individual has expressed himself or herself.

“I can assure you that everything went smoothly, people have made their argument and as a responsible party we’ve responded to their argument and there was no area of major disagreement,” he concluded.
