Member House of Representatives, Hon. Ahmed Munir has paid jamb fees for intending candidates from constituency.
The member representing Lere Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, also sponsored special sessions for the JAMB candidates to acquaint them on basic rudiments of the joint tertiary entry examination so they would come out in flying colours.
The member said passion for education which he described as bedrock of development was the motivating factor for bankrolling prospective higher institution hopeful from his Lere Constituency so they could become educated citizens, expected to contribute their quota in national development.
“Education is key and very important factor and driver for growth, prosperity and development hence, We must encourage our teeming population to be educated.
“The imperative of having an educated population in relation to economic development cannot be overemphasized.
“This should be our priority as elected representatives of the people who should be concerned about their welfare, education and well-being in general.
“I have paid Jamb registration fees for these young secondary school leavers and organize a computer based training session for them so they can pass their exams in one swoop,” he added.
Hon. Munir who is Chairman House Committee on Commerce assured that the sponsorship of JAMB candidates from Lere Constituency would be a continuous gesture from him.
