Aside the fact that the cash palliative is aimed at reducing the pains of fuel subsidy removal, Hassan stressed that it is also deliberately given to the beneficiaries to enable them put food on their tables during the Christmas and New Year celebration.

The LCDA boss appealed to all the beneficiaries to spend the money wisely.

She emphasised that the gesture, since inception of her administration, is a testimony of its total commitment to the wellbeing of the generality of Oriade residents.

While assuring that the dividend of democracy will be surely extended to all residents, she assured those yet to benefit from the poverty alleviation scheme that her administration will take care of their interest in due course.

The programme, which took place at the secretariat of the LCDA at Oriade had in attendance four traditional rulers, the former Council chairman  Hon. Ibrahim Sanusi, Apex leader of All Progressives Congress (APC) Alhaja Memunat Ajao, amongst others.
