The President of the Association Of Nigerian licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) Chief Iju Tony Nwabunike has expressed shock over the demise of the chairman of Nigeria Port Consultative Forum (NPCF) Otunba  Kunle Folarin, pointing out that it has created a void in the maritime industry.

Nwabunike, who made this known in a condolence message, said NPCF chairman’s contributions to the industry, were, no doubt, invaluable.

It reads, “Indeed his demise has left a void in the maritime industry where he has contributed immensely from his knowledge and experience.

“He was a believer in the emancipation of the Nigerian economy through a robust maritime sector.Baba left us even when we needed him the more”.

“Otunba impacted on me as an individual through his fatherly role in my early days and guided my path towards professionalism”.

Chief Tony Nwabunike however commiserated with the deceased wife, children and extended family members.

“My sincere condolences to his widow, children, other members of his immediate family and the entire Nigerian maritime community”.

The ANLCA president concluded with an expression of how much the deceased will be missed.

“We will miss his wealth of experience and love.

May his soul rest in peace”.
