Kogi Police Arrest Boy For Allegedly Burying Brother Alive.

The Kogi State Police Command on Wednesday, arrested one Goodness Oshodi for allegedly burying  his nineteen year old brother, Friday Oshodi alive for  stealing N10,000 belonging to their mother.

The incident happened at Apamisede community within the vicinity of Army Barracks in Adavi Local Government Area at the outskirts of Lokoja, Kogi State.

Goodness Oshodi was lucky as a good Samaritan who sensed the dastardly act   promptly exhumed him before breathing his last.

Our correspondent learnt from dependable sources that the life threatening act of Friday was a result of the instruction of their mother who instructed him to deal with the young Oshodi for allegedly stealing her N10,000.

The elder brother in carrying out the directive of his mother, decided to bury Friday alive but for the good Samaritan neighbour who sensed the  fishy  scenario and promptly rescued him.

Defending his action against his brother, Goodness said that he was only carrying out the instruction of their mother who asked him to punish the brother for stealing her N10,000, the source said.

Asked of the whereabouts of the mother, the source quoted Goodness as saying that the mother had gone to church.

The state Police Public Relations Officer,(PPRO),  SP William Aya confirmed the incident, saying that the boy has been arrested and undergoing interrogation.

“Yes, we are aware. The boy (Goodness) has been arrested. Investigation is ongoing as to why and how such a thing could happen,” Aya said.

According to him, Goodness went and dug a pit, and buried his brother alive. However, Friday was rescued by neighbours while the suspect, Goodness has been taken into custody.
