Traditional rulers found guilty of conniving with bandits will be instantly sacked in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State.
Chairman of the local council, Alhaji Anas Isah gave the warning during a crucial security meeting with stakeholders in his office.
He said even if his son was involved, he would automatically be eliminated.
The chairman also called on them to report any unfavorable situation to the relevant authorities for prompt action.
Alhaji Anas Isah revealed that the Local Government was aware of the problem of some farmers faced in evacuation of their farm produced because of the threat by bandits.
He assured that security operatives would be used to assist the farmers for safety evacuation of the harvested farm produce.
