Katsîna Commissioner Elected FGC Daura PTA Chairman

Katsina State Commissioner of Information, Dr. Bala Salisu Zango has been elected Chairman Parent Teachers Association (PTA)  of Federal Government College (FGC) Daura unopposed.

Other new officials Include, Alhaji Mustapha Lawal Vice Chairman, Alhaji Nasiru Sani Treasurer and Mr. Levi  Chekwedozie Public Relations Officer (PRO).

Others are,  Hajiya Asma’u Yusuf Financial Secretary and Malam Kabir Mamman, Secretary who were nominated by the school management.

 In an address, the Principal of FGC Daura, Alhaji Abdullahi Muktar Gulma spoke on the achievements of the school, since he assumed duty.

Alhaji Abdullahi Gulma said  over  ninety per cent (90%) of the students got five credits including English and Mathematics in West Africa Examination Council (WAEC), while over Seventy Percent (70%) of the students got similar result in National Examination Council (NECO) last year.

Alhaji Abdullahi Muktar Gulma commended the Parent Teachers Association for its support to the management of the College.

Alhaji Muktar Gulma appealed to Parents and Staff of the College to work hand in hand for the development of the school.

 In his speech, the new PTA Chairman, Dr. Bala Salisu Zango expressed his Gratitude to the Parents and Staff of the College for electing him un opposed.

Alhaji Salisu Zango solicited the support of the school management for the development of the College.

 Dr. Bala Zango promised to operate an open door policy, especially on Financial matters and pledged to abolish all unnecessary Financial expenditure in the School.

Dr. Bala Salisu Zango noted that, no meaningful development could be achieved without co operation.

The election was monitored by Officials from the Federal Ministry of Education, Abuja.
