Katsina Assembly Tasks Masari On Roads Rehabilitation

Katsina State House of Assembly has requested the executive arm to rehabilitate roads in Marabar Kado in Kankara and Sheme-Yankara-Faskari-Maigora-Marabar Kado in Faskari, Kankara and Sabuwa Local Government areas.

 This followed a motion filed by members representing Kankara, Sabuwa and Faskari constituencies.

The Speaker, Tasi’u Musa Maigari who announced the resolution of the House, directed Clerk to communicate to the executive arm for necessary action.

The sponsor of the motion, Engineer Shehu Dalhatu Tafoki said the roads played a significant role to people of Katsina State, neighboring states and Niger Republic.

Engineer Shehu Dalhatu who was also the Deputy Speaker, said the deplorable condition of the roads needed urgent Government attention.

The co-sponsor of the motion who was also member representing Sabuwa Ibrahim Danjuma Machika expressed the relevance of the roads on socio-economic and security well being of the road users.

Meanwhile, members representing Safana Abdul-Jalal Haruna Runka has tabled a motion calling for the reconstruction of the linkage bridge along Baure to Salihawar Kalgo in Dutsinma to Kukar Samu in Safana Local Government.

The lawmaker said the linkage bridge in the State was collapsing hence the need for the Government’s urgent attention.        

In the meantime, a bill for law to provide for a minimum of 30 per cent women participation in educational management in Katsina State has scaled first reading.
