The Chairman, Caretaker Committee of Kano North Journalists Forum, Malam Shu’aibu Sani Bagwai has clarified that they decided to have a formidable forum that would enable them to bring more development to the senatorial zone which comprises 13 local government areas.

He made the disclosure at the end of the forum’s inaugural ceremony held at Radio Kano on Thursday, adding that the members of the forum are drawn from all the 13 local government areas that are under the Kano North Senatorial Zone  in order to work as a team towards the development of the constituency respectively.

Bagwai added that, “We are all journalists working with various media organisations across the country, and from what we have done, our journey would be longer than expectations and we are united to promote our zone because we are left behind in so many issues”.

Malam Shu’aibu Bagwai said that the forum is non-partisan and  is not related to any politician and would never take sides with any party or elected leaders, rather than to work for the rapid development of Kano North Senatorial zone.

Shu’aibu Sani Bagwai announced that “Kano North Journalists Forum is not a rival to the mother body, Nigeria Union of Journalists  (NUJ).

“We are all under the umbrella of the union that is why our programmes were restricted to our senatorial zone and we would only work there as a progressive team,” he concluded.

The caretaker committee members are, Shu’aibu Sani Bagwai from Pyramid Radio as chairman, Sayyadi Haruna Vice Chairman from Freedom Radio, Abdulmumin Abubakar Tsanyawa, Secretary, Ahmed Adamu Rimin Gado Premier Radio as Deputy Secretary, Lawal Isa Bagwai from Radio Kano as Treasurer, Mas’ud Mato  Garo from Pyramid Radio as PRO 1 and  Abubakar Lawan Bichi Pyramid as PRO 2.
