Angry youths in Jema’a local government area of Kaduna State on Tuesday invaded the resident of the Interim Management Committee Chairman, IMC, of the council, Dr Katuka Bege and completely burnt the house.

The angry youths accused the chairman of the local government and the State government of not doing enough to stop the persistent killings going on in Southern Kaduna.

New Nigerian reporter also gathered that Kaduna State governor’s convoy was also attacked by women protesters in front of the Jema’a local government secretariat.

The women expressed their displeasure over the alleged killing of some youths during a peaceful demonstration on Monday.

The convoy was attacked in Garaje, the boundary between Jema’a and Kaura local government areas despite armed personnel that accompanied the governor to Kafanchan for a security meeting.

The IMC chairman, Bege could not be reached for comments.
