Kaduna State has recorded 17 deaths as a result of the suspected Diphtheria outbreak from six local government areas of the state.
The Director, Public Health of the State Ministry of Health, Dr. Aisha Abubakar Sadiq stated this while briefing newsmen on the casualties recorded so far in the state.
Dr. Aisha Abubakar Sadiq explained that about seventy five suspected Diphtheria cases were recorded from various local government areas of Kaduna State.
According to the Director, drastic measures have been put in place by the state government to stop the spread of the disease, to include the dispatch of rapid response team to all the affected areas.
She advised the general public to report any unidentified symptom of the outbreak for prompt action.
