Southern Kaduna: Pray For Success Of Political Leaders, Senator  Katung Charges People

The Senator representing Kaduna South Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Barr. Sunday Marshall Katung, has enjoined the people in his constituency to continue to pray for their leaders to deliver on their mandate for the overall development of the country.

Speaking when he embarked on a thank you tour across the eight local government areas that made up the constituency, Senator Katung said that without prayers, leaders with good intentions for their people can be influenced by evil people who do not want anything good to come out from them.

He said, “We need to earnestly pray for those in leadership positions in the country for divine guidance for them to successfully carry out their assignments to the overall development of the country and its peaceful coexistence.”

The lawmaker pledged to continue to protect and defend their interest, assuring that he would lobby for developmental projects that will enhance the development of the entire zone.

He maintained that as the political leader of the zone, he would pursue and bring all lawmakers in the state and National Assembly from the zone under one umbrella, to pursue a common legislative agenda that will emancipate the people and ensure a conducive enabling environment for the people to go about their legitimate businesses without any hindrance.

Various speakers who spoke during the three tour hailed the efforts of the Senator, saying that he has started on a good footing as the first elected Senator who return to thank his people for giving him their mandate since 1999.

The people pledged to give him their maximum support and cooperation to enable him succeed in the discharge of his legislative agenda and advised him not to renege on his promises to the people but to work diligently towards ensuring the people fully enjoy the dividends of democracy.
