*Kaduna Deputy Gov Says Education Rids Society Of Crime

The Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe on Monday,  said, when a society is educated, all the ills within the society are brought to the barest minimum.

Dr. Sabuwa Balarabe who expressed this, while presenting the Report of the Kaduna State Committee for the Reform of Tsangaya Qur’anic Education in Kaduna State and also unveiled the Curriculum for Teachers of Tsangaya Qur’anic Education developed by the state government at the National Headquarters of the Jama’atu Nasir Islam of Nigeria (JNI), in Kaduna.

Representing Governor Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai,  she commended everyone who  took  time to be present at the event. 

According to her, it is part of Kaduna State Government’s efforts to mainstream Quranic education into formal education with the aim of remedying the inhuman conditions seekers  of Qur’anic education are subjected to and ending out-of-school syndrome. 

“However, the curriculum provides guidelines for certifying teachers of Qur’anic education, enabling them to obtain National Certificate of Education (NCE) in Qur’anic Education in Kaduna State,” she said.

She thanked everybody who has taken  time to work on the documents as a Committee was set up and they have worked tirelessly to ensure that they have  this document to incorporate the entire system of education and Western education.

“We pray that,  with this incorporation, Qur’anic and Western education together in the same school,  we will achieve a society where there’s peace, security, spirit of brotherliness and a common humanity,” she prayed.

Dr Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, however,  presented the Report of the Kaduna State Committee for the Reform of Tsangaya Qur’anic Education in Kaduna State and also unveiled the Curriculum for Teachers of Tsangaya Qur’anic Education developed by the state government. 

At the event, the leaders of Tsangaya Education in Kaduna State also endorsed Senator Uba Sani and Dr Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe as the next Governor and Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, promising to mobilize people across the state to vote for them.

In attendance was Senator Uba Sani, the APC Governorship Candidate for Kaduna State, Senior Government officials, renown Academicians and Islamic scholars as well as clerics and Alarammas among others.
