Development: Mashi LG Vows To Partner NGOs

Mashi Local Government Council of Katsina State has reaffirmed commitment towards supporting Non-Governmental Organizations and associations that initiate human development project.

Chairman of the local council, Alhaji Salisu Kallah Dan-Kada gave the assurance while launching the Local Government Branch Office of the Association of Mashi Indigenes Residing in Lagos and Ogun states.

He praised the foresight of the association for fighting and struggle for better living of indigenes of the Local Government residing in Southern states.

He assured to continue to give necessary support to the association to achieve its desired goals.

At the event, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Ya’u Umar Gwajo-Gwajo said that the present administration is committed at transformation of indigenes living in the state and other parts of the country.   

He urged members of the association to be good ambassadors of the state where ever they found themselves.

 Earlier, the Chairman of the association, Malam Antaru Hussaini Mashi said the association has sponsored the education and skills acquisition to families of its members.

According to him, this was to make them more productive and guard them against victimization from Lagos Area boys.

In their separate remarks, the Chief Imam of Mashi Juma’at Mosque, Alhaji Nura Liman and the Galadiman Mashi who represented the District Head, commended the association for uplifting the standard living of indigene of the area.

They charged members of the association to continue to be law abiding and patriotic citizens of the Local Government and the state.
