A governorship aspirant in Kaduna State, Reverend Andrew Duya, has described the death of a former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Dr Obadiah Mailafia, as a monumental loss to the entire country.
In a statement issued by the Media and Publicity Co-ordinator, Dr. Andrew Duya 2023 Consultative Team, Mr John Aduku, the aspirant noted, “The late Dr. Mailafia was a strong personality who spoke truth to power, nor matter whose ox is goad.”
The governorship aspirant described late Dr. Obadiah Mailafia, “He was a true Nigerian, a freedom fighter who always have the love of the poor masses at heart.”
He also described Dr. Mailafia as man that always defended the interest of the masses whenever things go wrong in the country and come to the interest of the masses when it matters most.
He prayed for the family of the deceased, Southern Kaduna, Kaduna State, Middle Belt and the entire country to bear the irreparable loss.

His death has devastated his strong push for peace n development in Southern Kaduna n d middlebelt of Nigeria ??. Still trying to come to terms of his death.
