Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, at the weekend, flagged off The 1,000 Women Empowerment Programme of the Dattijo Empowerment and Development Initiative in Kaduna.
Dr. Balarabe said women are the most consistent and reliable voters that any politician could look up to and so, worthy of such empowerment.
The first phase of the empowerment Programme flagged-off, targets 1,000 women with various equipment for income generation like grinding machines and environmental friendly stoves.
At the flag-off, the Deputy Governor commended Mohammed Sani Dattijo, Senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Kaduna Central and founder of the initiative for the laudable project.
Other phases include a weekly disbursement which include cash worth N10m.
