Kaduna: Bandits Kill Over 30, Raise Several Houses, Abduct Many In Giwa

Over 30 people were killed, several houses  raised and many others abducted as bandits attacked nine villages of Giwa Local Government, Kaduna State.
A vigilante member in one of the affected villages told our correspondent that the incidence occurred on Thursday night.
He said, the bandits who attacked the villages also burnt houses and vehicles and took away over 100 cattle belonging to the affected villagers.
The affected villages are Fatika, Kaya, Dillalai, Angywar Alhajin Kida, Zangon Tama, Barebari, Durum,Anguwan Bakko, Durum and Kadanya respectively
According to our source, Dillalai Village was worst hit by the attack, where 15 people were killed, five commercial trucks and five house  burnt and the bandits also burnt a church at Zangon Tama,” he said.
He said some of the victims who sustained major gunshot injuries were receiving treatment at Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital Shika-Zaria and Giwa General Hospital.
When contacted on the incident, the Public Relationship Officer of the Kaduna State Police Command, ASP Muhammad Jalige confirmed  and said he is waiting for the report from DPO Giwa and Zaria Police Area Command.
