In continuation of national tour in a bid to be elected next president of Nigeria, presidential candidate of New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has taken campaign to Kaduna State.

The Kaduna visit by the presidential hopeful was preceded by a tour of North East and North Central zones.

It was a sea of supporters in the traditional red-coloured regalia of the  Kwankwasiya Movement, who besieged Saminaka, a sleepy town located midway between Kaduna and Jos, the capital of Plateau State to give a tumultuous welcome to leader and presidential candidate of New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), who was billed to kick off a campaign tour of Kaduna State from there.

The supporters and party faithful of NNPP accompanied their hero who was chauffered in a black Prado SUV all the way from Saminaka to Kaduna chanting solidarity songs of the former two term governor of Kano State who has vowed as one of his campaign promises to operate a community-based governance where children of the poor could access all the good things of life, such as quality education, robust job opportunities, good food and shelters among other lofty luxuries that are exclusively reserved for the elite.

While at Saminaka, located about 70km from the heart of Kaduna, Kwankwaso addressed a mammoth crowd amidst cheers where he promised to positivity change the fortunes of Nigeria if elected president in the forthcoming general election.

He lamented the poor state of governance across the country, attributing rising insecurity, high cost of living, lack of PMS, free fall of the naira, corruption in high places, economic bottlenecks and general lack of direction among others to absence of effective and exemplary leadership at the centre.

“Our country today is at a crossroads which if care is not taken by ensuring we vote in good leaders to replace the current ones who have plunged our once beautiful nation into chaos and lousy leadership, We may be faced with a more unfortunate situation after the 2023 general election.

“Our party, the NNPP will not use Nigerians, deceive them and dump them after election as the current party has done.

“We will operate a people government which shall respect the electorate and give them what they are due in a representative democracy which places high premium of welfare and interest of the masses.

“Education which is the bedrock of economic growth, political awareness and social development in every prosperous society shall be given the priority it deserves where children of the poor will be trained on science, engineering and technology to make them global assets capable of turning around the fortune of their fatherland,”he assured.

NNPP Kaduna North House of Reps candidate for 2023 general election, Hon. Shehu Bawa ABG who was in the entourage of Kwankwaso assured Nigerian voters of a better country if the party forms government at the centre.

While urging electorates to wise up by making the right choice of candidates at the February and March polls, ABG attributed sufferings faced across the country to ineptitude and deficit of leadership by the ruling party.

“Nigerians have been taken for a ride by parties in power whose actors have made promises they knew they cannot redeem.

“PDP and APC have promised Nigerians heaven on Earth with virtually nothing to show for it other than insecurity, abject and perpetual poverty, unemployment, corruption, inflation, cluelessness and others.

“It is time Nigerians tried a different and brand new party which is populated by visionary leaders with interest of the masses at hearts and are ready to rescue this country from misrule and cluelessness.

“It is a dawn of new hope and political rejuvenation that will sweep the length and breadth of Nigeria because people have realized that it’s time to try something new as our name connotes,” he said.
