The Executive Chairman of Jos North Local Government Council, Shehu Bala Usman has condemned the latest killing of innocent Nigerians in Te’egbe village of Miango District in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The Chairman who expressed sadness over the incident, described the heinous act as barbaric and unacceptable, especially at this time that Government is working in collaboration with other critical stakeholders to ensure total restoration of peace and security of citizens in the state.
Usman said Bassa and Jos North local government areas share common boundaries and bothering communities, noting that what affects the people of Bassa also affects Jos North and indeed the entire Plateau State and Nigeria in general.
The Jos North Local Government Council Chairman extended his deepest sympathy to families and friends who lost loved ones, and every member of the community traumatized by unwarranted despicable acts of wickedness.
He called on the law enforcement agencies to fish out the attackers to face justice, stressing that, “the perpetrators of this heinous attack should not be spared.”
He assured citizens of Jos North of his administration’s determination towards investing to ensure peaceful coexistence among the inhabitants of the area.
