Jigawa State Government has assured investors willing to invest in jigawa state continued govt support in boosting their morale, while it will block all leakages in saving costs towards boosting internally generated revenue.
A statement issued and signed by the Special Adviser Media and Publicity to Governor Badaru, Mal. Nuhu Kila said these are the words of Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar while inspecting one of the private investments established in Gumel Local Government Area of the state.
The Governor said the benefits of private investments cannot be overemphasized as they provide employment and economic activity to the people especially the host community.
Governor Badaru said that the Jigawa State Government through its investment and promotion agency will continue to facilitate and support private investments in the state.
In this regard, over 500 hectares of land was provided to WACOT Limited to develop a sesame academy that will enhance the technical capacity of sesame farmers not only in Jigawa, but in the whole of the sesame producing region of West Africa.
He therefore, commended WACOT Limited for dogged commitment in creating an organic sesame farm, academy, dripping irrigation, sesame cleaning plant and warehouse.
Earlier, the Managing Director of WACOT Limited, Mr. Bibhu Nandu expressed appreciation to Governor Badaru for all the necessary support accorded to them and promised to compliment government’s programmes towards food production and economic empowerment of the people.
