Gubernatorial Candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Katsina state, Dr. Dikko Umar Radda, has donated motorcycles to members of the vigilante in Rimi and Kurfi Local Government Areas.
Dr.Umar Radda made the donation in a statement by Director, Media and Publicity, Katsina State APC Campaign Council, Alhaji Ahmed Abdulkadir while rounding off his campaign tour in Katsina Senatorial District.
He that, it was his modest contribution towards assisting them to fight insecurity in the areas.
Dr. Radda donated five motorcycles in Rimi Local Government area and three to the Wurma community vigilantes in Kurfi Local Government Area.
According to Alhaji Abdulkadir, Dr.Dikko Umar Radda in turn, received a gift of the Holy Qur’an and a ram in Fardami, Rimi Local Government Area, a horse by the Village Head of Kaɗanɗani, also in Rimi Local Government Area in addition to a gift of another Holy Qur’an and a sword from the Village Head of Tsauri.
Alhaji Ahmed Abdulkadir said the APC Gubernatorial Candidate reiterated his determination to fight insecurity, create job opportunities for unemployed youths, enhance health care facilities and improve farming using modern methods in the state if elected governor.
District Head of Rimi, Alhaji Aminu Nuhu Abdulkadir had, earlier, appealed to the APC Gubernatorial Candidate, Dr. Radda to remember communities in Rimi that had no roads, water nor electricity when he became Governor, assuring him of their support.
Alhaji Ahmed Abdulkadir disclosed that, many people from PDP decamped into APC in both local government areas. noting that, in Rimi Local Government Area, 1500 PDP members including the Women leader in the area led by a former Councillor, Abdul’aziz Makwalla defected in to the APC.
At the campaign rally in Kurfi,
Alhaji Ahmed Abdulkadir disclosed that, Dr. Umar Radda warned that, “some shameless people would come and tell you that APC had failed to provide security for you and you should respond by asking them to account for the large amount of money made available to them to tame insecurity without success.”
The APC Gubernatorial Candidate paid homage to Maraɗin Katsina, District Head of Kurfi and former Secretary of the defunct Federal Electoral Commission (FEDECO),
Alhaji Ahmadu Kurfi.
The campaign tour in Katsina Central Senatorial District, Alhaji Ahmed said has come to an end and would continue after a short break whereas the last leg of the tour would cover Katsina South Senatorial District.
Alhaji Ahmed Abdulkadir mentioned those on Dr.Dikko Umar Radda’s entourage includes:- his running mate, Alhaji Faruk Lawal Joɓe, APC Katsina State Chairman, Sani Daura, Director-General, APC Campaign Council, Arch. Ahmed Musa Ɗangiwa, APC Katsina Central Senatorial Candidate, Colonel Abdul’aziz Musa Ƴar’Adua (rtd), other contestants and many other important dignitaries.
