Association of Governments information officers of Nigeria have been admonished to abide by the ethics of the pen profession as managers of information dissemination for the peaceful coexistence of the nation.
This charge was given by the Plateau State Commissioner for information and Communication, Hon Dan Manjang, during a courtesy visit paid on him by the President, Association of Government Information Officers of Nigeria on Friday at his office.
While congratulating the new President of Association of Governments Information Officers Nigeria on her exalted position, he urged her to remain resolute in the quest to ensure that the pen profession is pursued for the set goals to be realized according to the code of conduct of the profession by being bridge builders for the socio economic growth of the profession.
He however, challenged all the government information officers to be steadfast, committed, dedicated in their service delivery of information dissemination for the greater growth of the country.
