There was pandemonium in Okene in the early hours of Thursday as the palace of the paramount  traditional ruler of Kogi central was rocked by explosions.

This came at the time when President Muhammadu Buhari was on official visit to the state to inaugurate some key projects executed by the government of Yahaya Adoza Bello.

Our correspondent gathered that the explosions occured around 9am on Thursday, leaving four dead and structures destroyed.

The cause of the explosion was not immediately ascertained but unconfirmed sources said that it could be a bomb or the transformer within the vicinity of the magnificient Azad Palace in Okene.

The Police Command Public Relations Officer, William Ayah when called to confirm the story, neither picked his call for confirmation nor text  message to acknowledge the missed called.
