The Community Food Drive focuses on the heartwarming act of kindness displayed by volunteers (NGO’S) who organized a food drive to support families’ financial hardship.

Alice Gombwer Foundation (AGF) was one of the volunteers, who provided for a large number of families in Kaduna State. The Alice Gombwer Foundation was founded by her children after she passed away. It was named after Alice Gombwer to keep her legacy going.

Founded on July 25, 2014, the foundation started very small,  but as at 2023, the Alice Gombwer Foundation is going places and also achieving its main aim and objectives.

The Alice Gombwer Foundation focuses on feeding the less privileged (widows, orphans) and using sports to preach peace to our youth over the years.

The foundation has helped twenty youths pursue their dreams in basketball by enrolling them in trainings.

Every year, the foundation organizes a basketball tournament for the students to participate in and the winners get to go home with a lot of prizes and gifts.

The foundation has also brought so many families out of struggle.

During the festive period, the foundation single handedly fed over fifty families with cash and food items.

Their focus for 2023 was for widows and orphans, and also organising football and basketball tournaments in both Jos and Kaduna State.

In addition, of all the communities which participated in the youth development/services, Trikania Community was the best and was rewarded by the foundation with a borehole to serve the community in return.

The community food drive in Kaduna is a shining example of how people can come together to make a difference.

By providing food and hope to people in need, the community is showing compassion and solidarity.

This initiative not only addresses immediate hunger but also brings a sense hope and support to those who may be struggling.

It’s truly inspiring to see the impact that a united community can have on the lives of others.

Thank you The Alice Gombwer Foundation(AGF) for coming through.
