Homosexuality: Three Bauchi Convicts To Die By Stoning

Three suspects found guilty of homosexuality in Ningi, headquarters of a local government area of Bauchi State were on Wednesday sentenced to death by stoning. 

The condemned persons had their case started on June 14, 2022 when members of the Hisbah Committee operating in Ningi LGA led by one Adamu Dan Kafi prosecuted the offenders before an Islamic Sharia Court in Ningi

The three offenders prosecuted before the sharia court in Ningi are, Abdullahi Abubakar Beti, Kamilu Ya’u, and Malam Haruna. 

The Hisbah Committee  told the court that the trio were arrested committing the offense of homosexuality at Gwada Village in the Ningi Local Government Area of the state.

After listening to the prosecution and offence against them, the trial Sharia judge, Munka’ilu Sabo Ningi, adjourned the case to Wednesday 29/6/2022 for Judgement.

Delivering the judgment of the court after hearing statements by witnesses and admittance of guilt by the three accused persons, the trial judge, Munka’ilu Sabo Ningi, sentenced them to death by stoning. 

Convicted are Abdullahi Abubakar Beti – 30 years, Kamilu Ya’u – 20 years, and Malam Haruna – 70 years based on the provision of 134 of Bauchi state Penal Code law of 2001, and the provisions of Fiquhussunah Jizu’i number 2 page 362.

The three would be stoned to death immediately the  governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed signs  the execution of the judgment as contained with the provisions of Bauchi state Extent Laws.
