Fulani Group Expresses Views On Killings, Kidnapping In Southern Kaduna

Fulani group, under the umbrella of Mobgal Fulbe Development Association (MOFDA), Kaduna  State, has reacted to the recent  killings and kidnapping of natives in Southern Kaduna.

A statement issued and signed by the Association’s Caretaker Committee Chairman and Sarkin Fulanin Sabon Gari Bypass Kaduna, Ahmad Mairga Yandelh, condemned in totality, the killings of royal father, the Etum Numana Dr. Gambo Makama, and his wife, “by yet to be identified senseless and blood sucking criminals on new Year eve, who has no respect for the sanctity of human life.

The statement made available to our correspondent weekend in Kaduna, also condemned in strongest terms, the kidnapping of royal father, the Agom Akulu, Mr. Yohana Sidi Kukah, “by other wicked criminals, whose hearts lacks the zeal in pursuing legitimate businesses to earn a leaving.

“The Mobgal Fulbe Development Association (MOFDA), received with shock the senseless killing of HRH, the Etum Numana Dr. Gambo Makama, along with his beloved wife by yet to be identified senseless and blood sucking criminals on New Year eve, who has no respect for the sanctity of human life, as well as the kidnapping of HRH, the Agom Akulu, Mr. Yohana Sidi Kukah, by other wicked criminals, whose hearts lacks the zeal in pursuing legitimate businesses to earn a leaving.

“The Mobgal Fulbe Development Association, whose vision, aim and objectives, offers broad multicultural approach to issues and challenges in an intra and inters community harmonious co-cxistence, as well as ensuring that the Fulbe and their immediate neighbours in communities particularly in Southern Kaduna, are aware on the need to live and work together as a people, in the realization of reasons leading to conflicts such as; tribal, ethnic, religious, deprivation, segregation, corruption, hunger, etc and strategies to control and mitigate the adverse effects of the consequences of conflicts and disasters and effective communication of information to warring factions, communities and the public, hereby and, equivocally Condemn this  dastardly act  in  Its  totality of  the  killings  of  the  Royal Father  and his  wife, and  Kidnap  of  another Royal Father, describing  it as worrisome which should  not be condoned.

“The Association joins families of the deceased Royal Father and his wife, and that of the kidnapped Royal Father, the good people of Numana and Akulu Chiefdoms, by appealing to them to accept the unfortunate senseless acts with philosophical calmness. 

“The Association also extends its condolence to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasiru Ahmad el-Rufai, the government and people of Kaduna, and to HRH, the Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji (Dr.) Shehu Idris, Chairman Traditional Council of Chiefs, Kaduna State on this great loss, and on that of the kidnapped Royal Father.

“MOFDA is seriously worried on the rampant and senseless killings and kidnapping of innocent citizens of the state as well as other Nigerians in recent times, calling on the government both at the state and national level to ensure that these criminals with no human feelings and respect are fished out within the shortest possible time and brought to face the wrath of the law. May the souls of the deceased
Royal Father and his wife including all those killed through these gruesome acts, rest in peace.
“We also pray that HRH the Agom Ikulu, shall regain his freedom and in good health soonest.
