The TY Buratai Football Academy has distributed ten thousand (10,000) notebooks to 800 vulnerable children in Yobe North Senatorial district of Yobe State, affected by the flood which destroyed their schools and learning materials.
The programme which was sponsored by the President TY Buratai Football Academy Engr. Hassan Mohammed, Sarkin Yakin Garkuwan Keffi, is designed to help the educational system of the children.
According to the sponsor, the donation of the books is to further cushion the effect of the flood which has devasted the children and to also ensure that they are not discouraged in returning back to school.
He called on well meaning Nigerians to assist the less privileged in the society particularly children and their parents, who have suffered losses from the effect of the flooding.
“On our part as supporters of His Excellency Lt. General Tukur Yusuf Buratai CFR (rtd) we will not relent in touching the lives of the down trodden in the society, no matter how little,” he added.
