The Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State, Dr Kelechi Igwe, among other well meaning Nigerians have saluted the Director General of Ebonyi State Fertilizer and Chemical Company, Prof. Ogbonnaya Chukwu, over his recent induction as a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Agricultural Engineers (NSAE).
Dr Igwe in his congratulatory message, said that he is not surprised about the development, considering his antecedents in the growth and development of agricultural engineering in Nigeria, which has reflected in Ebonyi Fertilizer and Chemical Company.
“I received with delight the cheering news of your investiture as a Fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Agricultural Engineers.
“To be candid, this did not come to me as a a surprise considering your antecedents and commitment to the growth and development of agricultural engineering in Nigeria. This has reflected your giant strides in Ebonyi State Fertilizer and Chemical Company.
“My dear Prof, by dint of hard work, steadfastness, diligent efforts and God’s abundant grace, you have soared above many limitations to emerge a distinguished academic and a Fellow in Agricultural Engineering sub-sector.”
He therefore, appreciated the Institution for crowning his efforts with this prestigious fellowship, adding that he is confident that the recognition will further strengthen him to do more in promoting agriculture and increasing food sufficiency.
The NIAE was established in 1975 as the Nigerian Society of Agricultural Engineers (NSAE), to among others, promote technology, lead research, promote education, improve standard and foster association.
